NYC Premier: BROKEN ON ALL SIDES - Film, Discussion & Activist Networking Event

Saturday, March 9, 2013 - 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Riverside Church, 91 Claremont Ave, NY, NY 10027

You are invited to a screening of this powerful documentary about the history of mass incarceration in the U.S., how systemic racism impacts criminal justice, and ways to change the system.

We're happy to announce the rescheduling of the big NYC Premier of Broken On All Sides (postponed from Nov 3 due to Hurricane Sandy). The event will feature tablings at the screening by many activist organizations that are cosponsoring. There will also be a discussion with the filmmaker and several people involved with criminal justice reform, and people who were formerly incarcerated: confirmed panelists include Matt Pillischer, producer/director of Broken On All Sides; Soffiyah Elijah, Executive Director of Correctional Association; Tina Reynolds from Women On the Rise Telling Herstory; and Amir Varick Amma from Campaign to End the New Jim Crow! We've just secured a larger space to accommodate more people since it was "sold out" before hand last time (the event is free, donations accepted!).
