Anti-Rape Culture Coalition Meeting

Tuesday, April 9, 2013 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Freedom Hall: 113 West 128th Street, New York, NY

The new coalition is in the beginning processes of forming its political identity. As a coalition, we want to focus on politics before the logistics of events, marches, and protests. This beginning political process will inform our activism later. We are forming our political identity by discussing the magnitude and the manifestations of rape culture and how we can liberate all people from rape culture.

Possible topics of conversation on the agenda: the media and its connections to rape culture, reproductive justice and access and rape culture, colonialism and imperialism and indigenous resistance and rape culture, military culture and the military industrial complex and rape culture.

All are welcome to attend. Please spread the word to those you think would be interested in joining this political conversation about rape culture.

Freedom Hall is a completely accessible location (one entrance in the storefront) with gender-neutral bathrooms. Freedom Hall is located at 113 West 128th St., New York, New York (between Malcolm X/Lenox & Adam Clayton Powell Blvds.)
