A Discussion with Tim DeChristopher: Peaceful Environmental Activism

Celebrated environmental activist Tim DeChristopher will come and talk about his experiences in the environmental movement this coming Saturday at First Unitarian Congregational Society, Brooklyn. DeChristopher is best known for derailing a government auction of Utah wilderness in an extraordinary incident of creative direct action. After having served eighteen months in federal prison for his efforts, DeChristopher is now at Harvard Divinity School to become a Unitarian Universalist minister. Come see a lively discussion between him and Occupy Sandy/food justice activist Jessica Roff, followed by breakout discussions. The event will also feature music by Brian Cahall. $25, sliding scale.
