Earth Day Polar Bear CON Bike Ride!
The Polar Bears are on bikes and they've got a message.
You've heard of SantaCon and ZombieCon...
Well, we're taking this Con from Conservation!
That's right- PolarBearCon!
Floods, Cyclones, Snow Storms, Birds falling from the sky, Ice caps melting. The Earth is telling us something. This Earth Day, show your support for sustainable transportation and clean energy; be a Polar Bear. It is predicted that by 2050, the Alaskan Polar Bears will be extinct. Right now they're on the threatened list and groups like NRDC are trying to get them Endangered status to offer more protection.
Saturday, April 23rd, Polar Bears will ride wild through the city hunting for ice flow or ice cream or anything cold and remind humans how fun and sustainable biking is.
Reduce your carbon footprint! Ride a bike, save a bear!
Along the ride, we may take a trek to visit our furry friends in Central Park Zoo and end with an invasion of Grand Central Station.
BYOPB (Bring your own Polar Bear) costume or come to the Costume-making party Wednesday, April 20th starting at 4pm at Abc no rio- 156 Rivington St. We will also build mini melting glaciers to attach to bike frames.
