One of the most effective techniques for raising awareness about the health and ethical benefits of a plant-based diet is distributing literature in public places with heavy foot-traffic. At the right time and place, just one person can hand out hundreds of brochures in less than an hour.

Let's be really conservative and assume that only 1% of the people who receive a brochure will decide to go vegan after reading it. If you pass out 200 leaflets during your lunch hour, that's at least two new people who became vegan. Since the average vegan saves over 50 animals per year (about 35 land animals, and many more sea animals), that's 100 animals saved per year. How many other activities can you think of that just about anybody can do, which can save at least one hundred lives in just an hour?

Inspired? Then join MFA as we put compassion into action at our
Compassionate Choices Outreach event. Volunteers are welcome to help for the entire time, or for as long as they are available. To find the event, please look for Danielle, who will be wearing a Mercy For Animals messenger bag.
