May 19th marks the 87th anniversary of the birth of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, Malcolm X. For the past 24 years people from the tri-state area have converge on 125th Street in Harlem to commemorate the legacy of Malcolm X with the annual Black Power march and rally. In solidarity with the community, there will be a “commercial moment of silence” along 125th Street. All businesses will close in honor of one of our greatest national heroes, Malcolm X, from 1pm to 4pm.
