Amnesty International Goes Bananas in Times Square
Did you know there are more global trade regulations for bananas than there are for weapons? Every year there are enough bullets made to kill every person on the planet twice!
World Leaders are coming together at the UN this July to discuss an Arms Trade Treaty that would keep weapons from reaching the hands of the world's worst human rights abusers.
Join Amnesty International and activists in Times Square on June 27th as we launch electronic billboards and descend into the streets distributing bananas with information on the need for a strong Arms Trade Treaty.
First 100 activists gets a FREE T-SHIRT!
June 27th, 2012 - 9:00am - 12:00noon
Father Duffy Square, (Btw: 46th - 47th & Broadway)
