One year ago, on June 30, 2009, the city council voted (50-1) in favor of adding the Muslim holidays to the city's public schools. The Coalition for Muslim school Holidays, which has 80+ interfaith, civic, and labor organizations, and has lead this effort, is urging you to come out in support by attending a rally to demand that Mayor Bloomberg incorporate the Eid holidays in NYC public schools. We are looking for hundreds to turnout in support and many elected officials.
