REINTRODUCTION OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS GAL

The 2010 Soccer World Cup is also in New York City and it is aiming to score a GOAL FOR HUMAN RIGHTS!!!!!

NYCHRI members have caught soccer fever and are aiming to score a major human rights victory in New York City kicking off with the reintroduction of the Human Rights GOAL. The bill will change the way the city implements its policies to ensure equal enjoyment of human rights by all New Yorkers, and will adopt principles of (ICERD) and (CEDAW).

The Human Rights in Government Operations Audit Law: Human Rights GOAL will be reintroduced TUESDAY, June 29th at 2:30pm at City Council by Council Member Helen Foster (Bronx).

Council Members Helen Foster (main sponsor), Ydanis Rodriguez, Jumaane Williams, and Deborah Rose (co-sponsors) are leaders on our human rights team. And the list is growing…
