The City's Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) is set to hand over your tax dollars in a new loan program that could fund food factories that violate workers' rights! Join Brandworkers to pack the room at the next NYCEDC executive board meeting. Your support is critical for getting a transparent process implemented in the food manufacturers fund which will help direct money towards employers who do comply with the law and respect workers' rights.

January 24th will mark the second anniversary of the death of Juan Baten at a tortilla factory in Brooklyn. Federal safety investigators found that Tortilleria Chinantla recklessly failed to install a legally required machine guard which would have saved Juan's life.
