This Friday, May 10 at 6pm there will be an important forum on sweatshop and labor organizing in Haiti, Honduras and El Salvador. There will also be a report by Virgilio Aran, of the "Hot and Crusty" struggle in NYC, detailing the slave like conditions of Haitian workers in the Dominican Republic.

This program is sponsored by the Haiti Anti-Sweatshop Committee.

The Haiti Anti-Sweatshop Committee views the forum as part of an ongoing effort to unite the anti-sweatshop movement in the spirit of labor internationalism. Join us Friday!

Sonia Pierre was a human rights advocate in the Dominican Republic who worked to end antihaitianismo, which is discrimination against individuals from Haiti or Dominicans of Haitian origin. For this work, she won the 2006 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award.
