On President's Day weekend, FAUN, in solidarity with Caring Activists Against Fur (CAAF), will be making our immutable opposition to the horrific Chinese fur trade known to those unscrupulous cretins whose livelihood is the confinement, torture and extraordinarily brutal extermination of innocent beings - all in the name of fickle "luxury" and transient, superfluous "fashion." On the chilly "big sales" afternoon of Sunday, February 17th, 2o13 CAAF will stage another anti-fur demo at Macy's on West 34th Street in New York City.

Winter is still upon us, and as such, there are - unfathomably - STILL people out there who happily pay for the skins of fur-bearing mammals as "luxury" apparel for this frigid weather. That being so, Caring Activists Against Fur (CAAF), will be making our opposition to the horrific Chinese fur trade known to those unscrupulous cretins whose livelihood is the confinement, torture and extraordinarily brutal extermination of innocent beings - all in the name of fickle "luxury" and transient, superfluous "fashion." On Sunday, January 20th, CAAF will stage an anti-fur demonstration at a fur salon which has been operating without any commercial name in Brooklyn, NYC.

**Why UGGs during fur season?**

UGGs are cruelty - UGGs are the popular fall/winter boots with a suede exterior and sheepskin interior. Merino sheep are the animals whose wool is used to make the footwear. These sheep have to grow such huge amounts of wool, that it creates folds in their skin which get cut as the sheep are sheared and the skin is left as open wounds. This process is called "mulesing".
