In the last three decades federal, state and local housing agencies have drastically reduced public housing subsidies, demolished many projects, and entered into public-private partnerships that give banks and private developers a significant stake in public housing. What can tenants and housing advocates do to slow and stop this process? What alternative approaches can we propose to save and improve public housing?
