Whole Foods: Stop Butchering Bunnies - NYC HALLOWEEN PARADE

Local animal and rabbit advocacy/rescue groups, vegan education groups and everyone who finds Whole Foods Market's decision to expand their meatcases with a domestic breed of dead rabbits offensive, appalling and unnecessary, are coming together to make our collective voice heard and the public aware.

WE ARE MARCHING IN THE NYC VILLAGE HALLOWEEN PARADE!! We convene at the Northeast Corner of Canal Street and 6th Avenue starting at 6PM, to line up at 6:30PM. The parade ends at 16th St at 10:30PM, but we may be done earlier, depending on where we are in the line-up.

Political comix will be for sale to benefit the Bangladesh sweatshop garment workers union. Copies of recent issues of World War 3 Illustrated, the longest running political comic book in the US and copies of the graphic novel Wobblies! A History of the Industrial Workers of the World will be for sale with 100% of the money going to the National Garment Workers Federation in Bangladesh. Before the NGWF union was formed the garment workers were paid an amount equal to $10 per month with no days off . After a bitter long strike the union got wages of $20 per month and a national holiday off .
