Miranda Martinez goes deeply into the ethnic and cultural significance of community gardens to show the contradictory meanings of gentrification of Puerto Ricans. This book vividly demonstrates how Puerto Ricans interact with the global and local trends involved in gentrification and how the struggles against displacement can alter the boundaries of the process.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is the agency which has the authority to deny the operating license.
NRC is dominated by the nuclear power indudstry, and recently REFUSED to consider the lessons from last year's meltdown at Japan's Fukushim Daiichi plant.
